We flipped through the past-and cringed

we thought we were chasing nostalgia.
Instead, stacks of '90s teen mags gave us a front-row seat to the glossy lies we grew up with. “How to get the guy.” Diet tips dressed up as confidence hacks. Promised glow-ups that somehow always started with shrinking yourself. This was the blueprint we were handed — and, spoiler alert, it didn't age well. What was sold as empowerment was often just insecurity in a cuter font. But we know better now and we're rewriting the narrative.

so We made the mag we wish we’d had

No filters. No perfection. Just purpose...and power.
After countless revisions, a dizzying amount of coffee, and an unshakable belief that introducing teen girls to construction through a lifestyle lens could crack the code on the skilled trades gap—we did it. We created a magazine that takes a big sister approach to making construction more accessible and dare we say, aspirational. These pages don’t just give permission to dream big. They map out a clear path to get started, with a community of women and resources within arm’s reach.

fresh ink, no turning back.
We knew we had something special, but would anyone else see it? In spring 2025, we nervously placed an order for 10,000 copies, wondering if we’d lost our minds. Then people started talking. Orders rolled in. Ten thousand grew to 15,000, then 20,000. Before we knew it, three tons of magazines (not hyperbole) landed at Kate’s dad’s construction warehouse in Phoenix. We loaded them up, hit the road, and hand-delivered Move Over Bob Magazine to the next generation of builders. Now that we’re out in the world, we can’t wait to write the next chapter with you.
